Evaluation question 5 - How did you attract/address your audiance

In order for my magazine to attract an audiance, the magazine itself has to be appealing and attracting to the persons eyes. The magazine has to look as if the contents will be interesting, the layout has to be well constructed, and the colour choices have to work together and stick to the genre. The information inside the magazine also has to be correct, upto date and interesting.

Evaluation question 3 - what kind of music institution might distribute your product and why

When producing my media product, it would have to go through a production and publication process. You have to have a picture an idea of what you want your magazein to look like, who the magazines target audiance is, and what genre the magazine will comply with.

Publishing
As my magazine is similar to those such as VIBE and The Source, they are distributed mainstream, instead of niche. So my magazine is also likely to be distributed mainsteam. Companies such as Beaur Media would be likely to distribute my magazine.

Advertising
I will begin by advertising my magazine heavily on the internet, FACEBOOK and TWITTER are very popular and commonly used websites, so I will use this to promote my magazine also, this also being cost free. Also if I have sufficent fund, I could advertise on the television.

Distribution
When my magazine is to go on sale, I want it to be available to a large audiance, in stores that are popular. So I would want large stores such as ASDA, TESCO, WHSmiths to sell my product. I will also have an online facility, so that customers can purchase the magazine from online.

Evaluation question 2 How did you represent social groups?

Within my magazine I have tried to represent the social groups who have a interest and R&B and Hip-Hop. While looking at other magazine which target the same audience, such as VIBE and The Source, I looked at their style of magazine so that the same audience would be interested in my magazine also. The normal stereotype of a male who is interested in Hip-Hop is wearing expensive designer clothing, high tops, baggy clothes, big jewellery. Their main objective is to stand out.
